Oh, what we miss. . . . while on a diet

This is the summer of the diet. Tiger and I are repenting of years of eating what we pleased and ignoring exercise. The diet has been very successful for Tiger - he's at his goal weight. I have lost. . . . my temper over the fact that men can lose pounds with almost no effort and women have trouble losing ounces after denying themselves food, clothing and shelter.

I'm like Loretta Lockhorn in the comics. When asked by the nurse at the doctor's office how much she weighed when she started having weight problems, Loretta replied, "Seven pounds, five ounces."

Anywho, our diet plan is pretty regimented and we eat lots of fresh fruits and vegetables and chicken breasts. Lots and lots of chicken breasts. I've purchased 30 bags of the quick frozen chicken breasts. We have eaten 29 bags. We bake, grill, saute, and stir-fry chicken breasts. We haven't yet thread them on skewers to roast over an open fire.

Naturally, we are missing a few things while on this diet:

1. Cherry Limeade Chillers from Sonic
2. Sweet Tea - and we don't even drink sweet tea
3. Frozen York Peppermint Patties on a hot afternoon while working outside
4. Fresh sweet corn
5. Lemonade from frozen concentrate
6. Fritos
7. Spaghetti at Pagliai's
8. Blue Bunny Coffee Break ice cream
